Summary: RoofScanIR™ training is an intensive 3-day+ course and will prepare you to perform on-roof infrared surveys of flat and low-sloped roofing systems. The course curriculum includes classroom instruction of the chemistry, physics and industry standard application of commercial and industrial roofs, marketing, sales and hands-on experience on test roofs. The course materials have been developed over many years of field experience and will include the complete business solution for adding RoofScanIR™ to your service line.

6:00pm-7:00pm   Technical Session 1 - Introduction to Roof Surveying – Ben Hixson/Greg Stockton
7:00pm-8:00pm   How to prepare for a roof IR survey and safety on the job – Ben Hixson (Light Supper provided at 7PM)
8:00pm-11:00pm   Field trip to roof

Day 2 10:00am-Noon   Technical Session 2 - Roofing Terminology and Types of Roofs (with images)
Noon-6:00pm   Technical Session 3 - Types of Membranes, Types of Decks, Types of Insulations (Lunch and Supper provided)
6:00pm-8:00pm   How to properly collect the IR and visual imagery and write a report – Peter Hopkins
8:00pm-11:00pm   Field trip to roof
Day 3 9:00am-3:00pm   Technical Session 4 - Marketing, Report Writing, Proposal Writing, Review (Lunch provided). We will be available for individual tutoring until everyone is confident that they can prepare a proposal, perform the survey and write a detailed report.
